Welcome to my latest project! This new project is my bedroom in my new apartment for the fall. This is my favorite project I have ever worked on. The options were endless. It took me months to settle on a color scheme. I have to say, I am very pleased! Here is a picture of the before. Very drab, not to mention dirty. I ,of course, had very bold, dramatic changes to make. Take a look...

We started by cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. Next came a bold new color choice. Next, we added interest by painting a stripe in a tone darker and in a high gloss finish. (The light will reflect beautifully on the stripes).

And then... we changed the dreaded lighting fixture. $10, an old trashed light, a can of spray paint, new bulbs, and boom!

And here is the after! New lighting, fun shimmering stripes, and luscious drapery set the stage for what will be a great bedroom!
