Color is such a cool thing.
Mixing colors is even cooler. But what's behind it all?
First off, let's talk about subtractive and additive color.
Subtractive:
"The more color that is mixed, the more the mixture approaches a dark gray leaning towards black."
Mixtures of reflected color lose light.
So you could say that subtractive color is a mix of reflected light.

Additive:
Additive color is a direct mixture of projected light.
It is the opposite of projected light.
When we are using additive colors, we are layering one on top of the other.
